The Wellsville Area Satellite, in association with the Variety Club of Buffalo, Tent 7, works to provide and promote life-enrichment programs for children in need. The Variety Club of Buffalo is only one out of many tents worldwide that make up Variety Clubs International.
Of course, tents cannot possibly do this alone. With the help of satellites, tents are able to meet the ever-growing needs of children. These satellites are groups of dedicated people in their hometown communities who volunteer their time to helping children in need.
We count on volunteers to pledge their time and energy to raise funds for the disabled and underprivileged children of western New York. The money we raise goes directly to healthcare programs such as the Children's Hospital of Buffalo and the Robert Warner Rehabilitation Center. Other children's charities dedicated to improving the quality of life like the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Camp Good Days and Special Times benefit from the work of Variety and its satellites.
The annual Variety Club of Buffalo's telethon is a major source of funding for several children's charities throughout western New York. However our efforts dont stop when the telethon does. The Wellsville satellite works year-round to raise funds through various events and fund-raisers, collecting donations from both, organizations and private citizens.
Realizing the almost limitless needs of the children, and understanding the contributions that the Variety Club has made in our area and around the world, the Wellsville Area Satellite sincerely hopes that anyone in a position to do so will pledge their own resources. If you live in the Wellsville area and would like to help out, contact us at wellsvilleareasatellite@adelphia.net. Other western New York residents can get in touch with your local satellite or e-mail Tent 7 at vcstaff@buffnet.net.
